Danielle Ní Chróinín

Associate Professor Danielle Ní Chróinín is a Consultant Geriatrician at Liverpool Hospital, NSW, and Conjoint Associate Professor with South Western Sydney Clinical School, UNSW Sydney. She holds dual fellowships in Geriatric and General Medicine, and trained in Ireland before moving to Australia. Danielle has multiple publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals to her name. She completed her doctoral thesis in the field of stroke medicine, and most of her present research focuses on clinically meaningful, collaborative and multidisciplinary research applying to the care of older persons. This includes studies of care of people with hip fracture, advance care planning, delirium and frailty. Danielle presents regularly at national and international conferences, and is passionate about imparting a love of clinical research to students and trainees. On her days ‘off’, her is diary filled with children-centric activities and sundry adventures.
