Frederick A Graham
Fred is Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) in the Dementia and Delirium Nursing Service at Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH), Brisbane and research fellow. He has clinical expertise in managing changed behaviours and psychological symptoms in dementia and symptoms of distress in delirium. As an academic nurse, he researches the implementation of staff education, cognition champions, at-the-bedside care resources and models of care-related to cognitively impaired patients. His recent Award-winning PhD used virtual simulation to explore whether hospital nurses recognise pain-related agitation in older cognitively impaired patients. Fred is current recipient of the Metro South Health Future Research Leader Fellowship.
